ヨーロッパやインドは、１８歳未満の哺乳類の解剖には厳しいものがありますが、アメリカは違うんですよね。
猫の解剖もあると聞いていましたが、今年の６月、カリフォルニア州オレンジカウンティのニューポートハーバー高校の生徒がFacebookに解剖中の猫の死体ををもてあそんだような写真をアップして、アニマルライツ団体の怒りをかう事件があったそうです。

写真の投稿には、「自分で飼っている猫です。世話できないので殺しました」というコメントが書かれていたそうです。（注：本当は違うのに、です）

また、ロッカーの中に切断した猫の首を入れるいたずらもあったとか。

事件を受けて、同校のある学区では猫の解剖を中止したとのことですが、なんとも嫌な気持ちになる事件です。
